The farmstead sat on a hill overlooking the town, its white walls and green fields visible in the distance. The farmer had been farming this land for years, and it was his dream to one day have a house on the property. His wife and children were all farmers too, and they all looked up to him as their leader. One day, he decided to sell the farm and move into the city. He had always wanted to be near people, but he knew that living in a city would be difficult. He was constantly worried about money, and he didn’t know how he was going to make ends meet. One day, while he was out of town, his wife came home from work and saw that their son had been working on the farm all day. She was so proud of him, and she knew that if her husband could do it, so could her son. She started cooking dinner for them both and told him about how proud she was of him. After dinner, they all went outside to eat together. The farmer’s wife told her son how much she loved him and how happy she was that he was doing well on the farm. Her son replied with a smile that he loved her too, before going back to work on the farm. The farmer continued to worry about money even though his family were supportive of him. One night when he wasn’t home yet from work, his wife heard screaming coming from outside their house. When she got there she found her husband being held down by two men who were demanding money from him. They threatened to kill him if he didn’t give them what they wanted! The farmer’s wife ran into their house and called for help while her husband fought off the attackers with whatever resources he had at hand.
