There are a few ways to unlock Sohm Al (hard) in Final Fantasy XIV. The easiest way is to complete the main story and then talk to the blacksmith in the capital city of Darnassus. He will give you a key to open the door of the blacksmith’s shop. The other way is to complete the side-quests that lead up to it. The final way is to find and talk to an old man named Garen in the city of Vabbas. He will tell you about a hidden chest that contains a key to Sohm Al (hard).
