If you’re like most iPhone users, you probably take a lot of screenshots. Whether you need to capture a moment for posterity or just want to share something with a friend, screenshots are an essential part of your iPhone toolkit. But how do you take a screenshot on an iPhone 12 Pro Max? Here’s how:
- Open the app that you want to capture the screenshot in. This could be Messages, Photos, Safari, or any other app that you use regularly.
- Press and hold down the “Home” button on your iPhone 12 Pro Max and then press and hold down the “Power” button at the same time until the screen goes black and a message pops up saying “Press Power to Sleep/Wake Up Device.”
- Release both buttons at the same time and then press “Volume Up” on your device to zoom in on what you want to capture. You can also use two fingers to drag around the screen if needed.
- When you have captured what you wanted, release all of the buttons except for “Volume Down” and press it once so that it turns off your device (you will see a message saying “Device Shut Down Completely).” Then release Volume Down as well.
- To view your screenshot, open Photos on your device and select it from the list of photos there (it might be in chronological order). If it isn’t in chronological order, simply drag it up to make sure that it is at the top of the list when it opens up again after being saved (you can also use three fingers if needed). ..

From there, tap on the three lines in the bottom left corner of the photo (this is where album art used to be). This will open up a menu where you can select which photo album this screenshot is from (if there are multiple albums), as well as which photo(s) will be displayed in full size when viewing it online or in print form (if there are multiple photos selected). Finally, tap on Share which will send your screenshot off into cyberspace! ..
