If you’re like most people, you probably rely on screenshots to capture the important moments of your day. But what if you don’t have a phone with a screenshot button? No problem! Here’s how to screenshot on the Pixel 2:

  1. Open the app you want to screenshot.
  2. Press and hold the power button and volume down button at the same time until the phone goes into “bootloader” mode.
  3. Type “adb reboot bootloader” and press enter.
  4. Type “fastboot oem get_serial” and press enter. This will give you a serial number for your phone.
  5. Type “fastboot flash recovery recovery .img” and press enter to flash your recovery image onto your phone. (For example, if you wanted to flash TWRP Recovery, type “fastboot flash recovery twrp-3d8bbc7e-factory-recovery.img”).
  6. Type “fastboot reboot” and press enter to reboot your phone into recovery mode (or just hit the power button again if you’re in bootloader mode).
  7. From here, it’s just a matter of taking a screenshot! To take a screenshot, first tap on the screen where you want the screenshot to be taken (this might be different depending on which app you’re using). Then hold down the power button and volume down buttons together until your phone says “screen off.” Finally, release both buttons at once so that the screen captures everything that was on it before it went off (you can also use two fingers to do this). ..
