If you’re like most AWS customers, you probably don’t need to worry about removing your account details. But if you ever want to stop using AWS or sell your account, it’s important to know how to do it. AWS provides a few different ways to remove your account:

  1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console and select Account from the top menu. Under Account Details, select Remove Your Account from the drop-down menu. You’ll be asked for your confirmation code. Enter it and click Remove My Account.
  2. Go to https://awsaccounts.com/remove and enter your confirmation code in the form on the page. Click Remove My Account when you’re done.
  3. If you have an Amazon Web Services Premier or Enterprise account, contact customer service for assistance removing your account details. ..
