If you have an Android device and are using Gmail, it’s likely that you have set up a Google account to use the email service. If you don’t, now is a good time to do so. To remove your Gmail account from Android to factory settings, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Play Store and search for “Gmail.” This will take you to the Gmail app on your device.
  2. Tap on the “Settings” icon in the top left corner of the main screen of the Gmail app. This will open a new window with several options.
  3. In this window, tap on “Accounts.” This will open a new window with all of your Google accounts listed in it.
  4. In this window, tap on “Gmail.” This will close all of the other windows and return you to the Accounts screen in the Gmail app.

Open the Settings app and tap Accounts & Sync. Tap the account you wish to delete and tap Remove account. Tap Delete Account when asked for confirmation.
