If you are the administrator of a Windows 10 PC, you may have forgotten your password. Or, you may have changed it and can’t remember what it is. In either case, you can remove the administrator password by following these steps:
- Open the Start menu and search for “Windows PowerShell.” When Windows PowerShell appears in the results, right-click on it and select “Run as Administrator.”
- At the command prompt, type “Get-AdminPassword” and press Enter. The output will show your current administrator password.
- To change your password, type “Set-AdminPassword -NewPassword ’newpassword’” and press Enter. Make sure to replace ’newpassword’ with a strong password that you will remember! ..
