If you’re a Google user, there’s a good chance you have an account on your phone. And if you do, it’s probably because Google has given you the option to do so. This is the app that lets you use your account with other devices, like computers and tablets. If not, update it now. Second, make sure that your phone is unlocked and has no protection against third-party unlocking. This means that anyone can easily access all of your data and settings without having to go through Google or any other company. Finally, be sure to backup all of your important data before removing your account from your phone. This includes everything from photos and videos to contacts and calendar entries.
