If you’re a Google user, there’s a good chance you have an Android phone. And if you do, there’s a good chance that your Google account is connected to it. If not, it’s likely that someone hacked into your phone and took over your account. There are a few ways to remove your Google account from an Android phone:
- Go to the Google Play store and uninstall the app “Google Account Manager.” This will take care of deleting all of your data and settings associated with your Google account on the device.
- Use the “Google Account Settings” app on your phone to uninstall the “Google Account” app from the device. This will delete all of the data and settings associated with your Google account on the device, but won’t uninstall the “Google Account Manager.”
- Use a computer or another mobile device to reset your password and settings for both accounts on both devices. This will restore all of your data and settings associated with both accounts on both devices.
