If you have any photos or videos from your Google Drive account that you want to keep, but don’t want them to show up in your Photos and Videos section of the Google Drive website, there are a few steps you can take to help recover them.
- Delete the photos and videos from your Google Drive account using the tools provided on the Google Drive website. This will remove them from your computer and all of your devices that use Google Drive.
- Copy and paste the contents of the “photos” folder in your Google Drive account into a new folder on your computer. This will create a new folder for each photo and video you deleted from Google Drive.
- Rename each photo and video file according to their original name (for example, “Photos_01.jpg” would become “Photos_02.jpg”). This will make it easier to find them later if you need to restore them later.
- Open up an Explorer window on your computer and browse through all of the folders created in step 2 for photos and videos respectively. If there are any pictures or videos that still exist in those folders but haven’t been renamed yet, just drag them over into the newly created Photos and Videos section of Google Drive website so they show up there automatically!
