If you’ve ever deleted comments on Instagram, there’s a good chance you didn’t realize it. The app deletes comments automatically after a certain amount of time, and if you don’t remove them manually, your account will be locked. To get your account back, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Instagram and open the app.
  2. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen. This will take you to your account settings.
  3. Scroll down and click on the “comment history” tab. This will show all of the comments that have been made on your account since you last logged in.
  4. Click on the “delete” button next to each comment that you want to delete. This will take you to a confirmation page where you can choose whether or not to delete the comment permanently. If you decide to delete it, please note that Instagram won’t allow future comments from that user unless they are re-posted with new information or unless they are from someone who has already been banned from Instagram for violating its terms of service (which is rare).
