If you’re like most people, you probably use Instagram to capture and share photos and videos of your day-to-day life. But if you want to pause a video, there are a few steps you can take to make sure your viewers have a smooth experience.

  1. Open Instagram and sign in.
  2. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen (the one that looks like an hourglass). This will open a menu with options such as “History,” “Account,” and “Settings.”
  3. On the Accounts tab, select your account name and password (if any). If you’ve never used Instagram before, this is probably where you’ll be asked to create an account or sign in with another social media site.
  4. On the Settings tab, select “Video.” This will open a new window with several options, including " autoplay ," which means that videos will start automatically playing once they’re loaded into Instagram; " quality ," which determines how well videos are displayed on different devices; and " delay ," which sets how long after video loading it should take for users to be able to interact with it. You can also choose whether or not to save changes made in this window for later use.
