If you want to keep your bank account hidden from your spouse or significant other, you can do so easily and without much effort in QuickBooks Online. Here’s how:
- Open the “Company” menu in QuickBooks Online and select “Accounts.”
- On the “Accounts” page, select the bank account you want to hide.
- In the “Details” section of the bank account’s page, click on the “Edit Details” button.
- In the “Edit Details” window, under the heading “Description,” type a new description for your bank account that is not related to finances or banking activities. For example, you could type “My personal savings account.”
- Underneath the heading “Type of Account,” click on the drop-down menu and select “Individual Retirement Account (IRA).” This will change the description to reflect that this is an IRA account rather than a regular bank account.
