If you’re like most people, you probably have an Instagram account. And if you’re not using it to post pictures of your dog or cats, you should be. Instagram is a great way to connect with people and share your ideas, thoughts, and feelings. But if you’re hacked, your account could be at risk of being compromised. There are a few things you can do to protect your account from being hacked:

  1. Use two-factor authentication (2FA). This is a security measure that requires you to enter two pieces of information – your username and password – when logging in to your account. If someone gets hold of either of those pieces of information, they could easily access your account and all the data that’s inside it.
  2. Use a secure browser extension. Some browsers like Chrome have built-in 2FA features that help protect against hacks. Other browsers may require third-party software to do this same thing, but it’s worth checking out what extensions are available for each platform before making any decisions about using them.
  3. Keep your passwords safe and easy to remember. Make sure all of your passwords are different than any other accounts on the internet and use them only for personal use (not for work or social media). If someone gets hold of one of those passwords, they could easily access all the other accounts on your profile as well!
  4. Don’t share personal information online without first verifying the source first. Don’t give out personal information – even if it’s just an email address – without verifying the source first!
