But if you’re a user of the platform and your phone goes dead, or if someone deletes your account without warning, there’s no guarantee that your picture will still be online. That’s where Instagram’s “save to phone” feature comes in. To use this feature, simply open the app and select “save to phone.” Then type in a location and time-frame (for example, “Thursday at 5 p.m.”), and Instagram will save your photo to your phone for later retrieval. If someone deletes your account without warning, don’t worry; just re-upload the photo and it’ll be preserved on the site.
