If you’re a SoundCloud user, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the platform’s deletion feature. If not, it’s time to learn about it. SoundCloud is a social media platform that allows users to share and remix music. The site has been around since 2009 and has over 100 million users. It was recently acquired by Facebook for $1 billion. When you create an account on SoundCloud, you are given the option to create an “account name.” This is your name that will be used when you post on the platform and when people follow you. You can also change your account name at any time. When you delete your account, all of your posts and videos will be deleted as well as all of your followers on the platform. You won’t be able to re-create or re-upload them until you create a new account or switch platforms. If someone follows you on SoundCloud after deletion, they will still be able to see your posts and videos but they won’t be able to follow you anymore.
