If you’re a Gmail user, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the “delete your Gmail ID” feature. This is a handy way to stop yourself from being tracked by Google, since your email address will still be active even if you delete your account. To delete your Gmail ID, open the Google Chrome browser and type in “gmail” into the address bar. Then click on the “Delete my account” button. You’ll need to provide some basic information about yourself, such as your name and email address. After you’ve deleted your account, all of your messages and contacts will be gone too.
