If you’re one of the millions of parents who have ever deleted their child’s Instagram account, you’re not alone. In fact, according to a study by social media analytics company SocialBakers, 43 percent of parents have deleted their child’s account at least once. There are a few reasons why parents might want to delete their child’s Instagram account. Maybe they don’t want their child using the platform to share embarrassing photos or videos. Or maybe they think it’s too distracting and they don’t want their child spending too much time on it. Whatever the reason, deleting your child’s Instagram account is easy enough if you know how. Here are four steps to follow:

  1. Log in to your child’s account and click on the “Profile” tab at the top of the page.
  2. Under “Settings,” click on “Account Settings.” This will take you to a page where you can delete your child’s account entirely or deactivate it so that it can’t be used anymore but will still appear in public search results. (Note: If your child has multiple accounts, deactivating one won’t deactivate all of them.)
  3. If you just want to delete your child’s account temporarily while you decide what to do, click on “Deactivate Account.” This will disable your child’s account but leave it active in public search results. You can reactivate your child’s account at any time by clicking on “Activate Account.”
  4. If you want to permanently delete your child’s account, click on “Delete Account.” This will remove all traces of your son or daughter from Instagram and Facebook permanently. ..
