WhatsApp is a messaging app with over 1 billion active users. It’s one of the most popular messaging apps on the market, and it’s also one of the most commonly used apps for communication. WhatsApp messages are stored on the app’s servers for 7 days after they’re sent. After that, they’re automatically deleted. If you want to keep a message after its 7 day window has expired, you’ll need to delete it manually from your phone. To delete a WhatsApp message:

  1. Open WhatsApp on your phone.
  2. Tap on the messages icon (the three lines in a blue box).
  3. On the message list, tap on the message you want to delete.
  4. On the main screen, tap on the three lines in a blue box at the bottom of your screen. This will open up your chat history.
