If you’re like most people, you probably use your iPhone to store and access files. But there are a few things you can do to make sure your files stay safe and accessible, even if you lose or forget your phone.
- Create a password for your files: This is especially important if you keep any important files on the phone in addition to your contacts, photos, and other personal information. Make sure each file has a unique password that only you can access.
- Disable iCloud: If iCloud is enabled on your iPhone, it will automatically sync all of the data in your account with Apple’s servers. If you disable iCloud, any data that’s stored in iCloud will be lost forever if you lose or forget your phone.
- Keep track of where everything is: If you keep track of where everything is on your iPhone (or any other device), it’ll be easier to find and access anything that’s been misplaced or forgotten over time. You can also use this information to create backups of important files so they’re always available should something happen to your phone or computer.
