If you’re like most people, you probably have a lot of data on your PlayStation 3. Whether it’s your online status, your game progress, or even just some personal files you’ve saved, there’s a good chance that some of that data is stored on the console. But deleting that data can be difficult and time-consuming. Here are three tips to help you delete data from your PlayStation 3:

  1. Open the PS3 system software and click on the “Settings” icon in the top left corner of the screen. This will take you to the “System Settings” screen.
  2. Scroll down to the “Data Management” section and click on the “Delete Data” button. This will take you to a confirmation page that asks for your password. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to create one before deletion can begin.
  3. Once deletion has begun, follow these steps: first, select which files or folders should be deleted (e.g., games or applications). Then click on the “Delete Data” button at the bottom of the confirmation page. The console will automatically start deleting those files as well as any other files that may have been associated with them during storage on your PlayStation 3.
