If you have an old Gmail account that you no longer want to use, there are a few ways to delete it from your phone.

  1. Go to the Google Play Store and search for “Gmail for Android.” Once you find it, tap on the “delete” button and confirm your deletion by typing in a valid email address.
  2. Open up the Gmail app on your phone and sign in with your Google account. Once you’re signed in, go to the “accounts” tab and click on the “delete” button next to your old Gmail account name.
  3. If you’ve already deleted your old Gmail account, please be sure to follow these steps so that your new Gmail account is activated and working properly: open up the Google Play Store and search for “Gmail for Android.” Once you find it, tap on the “settings” icon at the top of the screen and select “activation.” Under “activation options,” select “deactivate this account.”
