If you’re a professional or business person, you know that LinkedIn is an important tool for networking and building relationships. But if you’re like most people, you don’t use it as much as you should. Here’s how to close out your LinkedIn account so that you can focus on more important things:
- Delete your profile. This is the easy part. Delete your profile and all of your content. It’s not hard to do, and it’ll save you a lot of time and energy in the long run.
- Change your password. If you don’t have a new password set up on LinkedIn yet, create one now and use it when prompted to set up a new one. You don’t want to leave any valuable information on your old account vulnerable to theft or attack!
- Disable notifications for LinkedIn events and posts. If you’re subscribed to events or posts from LinkedIn, disable them so that they don’t show up in your notifications area anymore (or just unsubscribe if that’s too much work for you). This will help keep your mind focused on what’s important instead of getting pulled away by all the social media chatter!
