Apple IDs are essential for many activities on your Mac, such as opening the Apple Store or logging in to iCloud. But if you ever lose your Apple ID or want to change it, here’s how:

  1. Log into your Mac using your username and password.
  2. Click on the Apple ID icon in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. In the resulting window, click on the Change Apple ID button.
  4. Enter your new Apple ID information in the fields below and click on the OK button to finish changing your Apple ID.
  5. To keep your new Apple ID active, you need to remember to log out of your Mac and back in again before you use it again!
