Verizon has been deleting text messages for a long time now, but it’s not clear how long it keeps them. A Verizon spokesperson told The Huffington Post in an email that the company “does not keep deleted text messages.” However, a Verizon spokesman told The New York Times in 2013 that the company “deletes all old text messages and calls within 30 days.”
