LinkedIn is a great way to stay connected with friends and colleagues, but sometimes it can be helpful to have two separate LinkedIn accounts. For example, if you work at a company with multiple locations, it can be helpful to have a LinkedIn account for each location. Or, if you have multiple jobs and want to keep track of all of your current and past employers on LinkedIn, it can be helpful to have two separate accounts. There are a few things to keep in mind when merging two LinkedIn accounts:
- Make sure that the profiles are completely compatible. Both profiles should have the same name, email address, and job title. If there are any differences between the profiles, you may need to contact LinkedIn support for help resolving the issue.
- Make sure that all of your connections are transferred over from one account to the other. If you don’t want any of your connections from one account transferred over to the other, you will need to disable connections in both profiles before merging them. You can also contact LinkedIn support if you encounter any connection issues after merging the accounts.
- If you decide later on that you don’t want two separate LinkedIn accounts anymore, you can easily delete one of them by following these steps: Log into your original account and click on “Profile” in the top right corner of the screen Select “Edit Profile” Under “Contact Information” click on “Remove Profile Link” Click on “Remove Profile” in your new account’s profile Click on “Delete Account” ..
